When Empathy Fails: My Story Of Suffering
This morning's experience left me feeling apprehensive about marriage π€π. Not all men can be as caring and supportive as my father π¨π΄, and that's the harsh truth π.
I live in a private hostel at my university π«π, where our daily routine is highly structured, much like a boarding secondary school ππ¨π«. Every Sunday morning, we attend a moral class at 8:00 AM sharp ⏰π. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it to today's class because my menstrual period started overnight ππ, and I was experiencing severe cramps π€π€’.
All I could do was stay in my room π️π , trying to manage my pain and avoid drawing attention to myself π ♀️π. As expected, our teacher sent a student to check on me π€π. The teacher's message was, "Tell her to come upstairs right now" π£π. I explained to the student that I couldn't attend the class due to my condition π€π€, but the teacher's response was insensitive and unsympathetic π±π .
I was shocked and hurt by his attitude π’π. Doesn't he know how women feel during their menstrual period? π€·♀️π I felt sorry for his wife and children πͺπ«, wondering if he treats them with the same lack of empathy π€π.
Despite my discomfort π€π€’, I went upstairs to the classroom π«π. I wanted to sit down π️π, but the teacher told me to come to the front of the class π’π. I stood there for almost 30 minutes ⏰π, feeling uneasy and self-conscious π ♀️π. The pain and discomfort became unbearable π€―π΅, and I had to leave the class to avoid embarrassing myself further π«π³.
Experiences like this make me fearful of marriage ππ¨. How will my future husband treat me? π€π« The teacher's behavior was brutal and inhumane π€π , and I feel sorry for his family πͺπ.
I hope sharing my story will raise awareness about the importance of empathy and understanding π€π, especially towards women during their menstrual period πΈπ©πΎ.
