HOW TO MAKE ZOBO DRINK

Zobo Drink Recipe (Hibiscus Tea) 🍵🌺

Ingredients:

- 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers (zobo leaves) 💐

- 4 cups water 💧

- 1 tablespoon grated ginger (optional) 🌿

- 1 tablespoon honey or sugar (optional) 🍯

- Ice cubes (optional) ❄️

- Lemon slices or lime wedges (optional) 🍋

Instructions:

1. Rinse the dried hibiscus flowers: Quickly rinse the dried hibiscus flowers with cold water to remove any impurities. 🚿

2. Combine hibiscus flowers and water: In a large pot, combine the rinsed hibiscus flowers and 4 cups of water. 🍲

3. Add ginger (optional): If using ginger, add it to the pot and stir well. 🌿

4. Bring to a boil: Place the pot over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil. 🔥

5. Reduce heat and simmer: Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the mixture has reduced slightly and the flavors have infused. ⏰

6. Strain the mixture: Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a large pitcher or container. Discard the solids. 📦

7. Add honey or sugar (optional): If desired, add honey or sugar to taste and stir well. 🍮

8. Chill the Zobo drink: Let the Zobo drink cool to room temperature, then refrigerate it for at least 2 hours or overnight. ❄️

9. Serve: Serve the Zobo drink chilled, with or without ice cubes. You can also add a squeeze of lemon or lime juice, if desired. 🍹

Tips and Variations:

- Adjust the amount of ginger and honey/sugar to your taste preferences. 🤔

- Add a few slices of citrus fruits, such as oranges or lemons, to the pitcher for added flavor. 🍊

- Experiment with different spices, such as cinnamon or cloves, to create unique flavor variations. ❗️

- Consider using fresh hibiscus flowers instead of dried ones for a more vibrant flavor and color. 💐

Enjoy your refreshing glass of Zobo drink! 😊
