Akin, a young Nigerian man, was head over heels in love with his girlfriend, Nneoma 💘. One day, while they were on a date at a popular Lagos restaurant, Akin decided to take their relationship to the next level 🍴.


"Akin, my love," Nneoma said, sipping on her Chapman 🍹, "I'm not sure I'm ready for marriage. I need more time to focus on my career 💼."


Akin's face fell, and he looked like he'd just been slapped with a wet fish 🐟. "Nneoma, how can you say that? Don't you know that I'm the best thing that's ever happened to you?" he asked, his voice dripping with drama 🤣.


Nneoma chuckled and patted his hand 🤗. "Akin, you're being dramatic. I just need some time, okay?"


But Akin was having none of it 😒. He stood up, threw his hands up in the air, and declared, "Fine! If you won't marry me, I'll show you what you're missing! I'll marry...I'll marry...my mother's cooking pot!" 🍲


Nneoma burst out laughing 😂. "Akin, you can't marry a cooking pot! That's ridiculous!"


But Akin was dead serious 💀. "Oh, watch me! I'll show you that I'm a man of my word! I'll marry that pot and make it my wife!"


And with that, Akin stormed out of the restaurant, leaving Nneoma in stitches 😂.


The next day, Akin's mother received a strange phone call from her son 📞. "Mama, I'm getting married today. Please bring your cooking pot to the ceremony."


Akin's mother was confused 🤔. "Akin, which cooking pot? And who are you marrying?"


Akin replied, "The big one, Mama. The one with the nice curves. And I'm marrying...the pot itself!" 🤣


Akin's mother face-palmed 🤦‍♀️. "Akin, my son, you've finally lost it."


But Akin was determined 💪. He went ahead with the "wedding ceremony," complete with a makeshift altar, a pot-themed wedding cake 🎂, and a sermon from a bewildered pastor 🤣.


As the "ceremony" ended, Akin turned to Nneoma, who was watching from a distance, still laughing 😂. "See, Nneoma? I told you I'd marry the pot! Now, are you ready to take me back?"


Nneoma shook her head, still chuckling 😂. "Akin, you're a crazy man, but I love you anyway."


And with that, Akin and Nneoma reunited, with the cooking pot watching from the sidelines, a symbol of Akin's ridiculous but lovable nature 🥰.

What sparked your initial interest in the Quran?  Quite a lot of things, first and foremost where my own parents, from their own relation and interest in it, and then my friends, some of my close friends at the beginning were either Huffadh, or those that were on their memorization journey also.
